Several landowners in the village have offered potential development sites for consideration by North Yorkshire Council. This is primarily for residential use, but can also include industrial, community and open space for example.
Note: these sites have NOT been put forward for planning permission at this time, merely for consideration of suitability by NYC.
The map shows where houses may conceivably be built. This potentially amounts to several hundred more new homes throughout the village. The airfield site alone could be 900. Affordable housing may represent around 35% of all new homes.
